1- If we complete part of competition, can we be rewarded part of points?
No, to achieve the bonus points in a challenge, you must first finish the main required task and then you become eligible for receiving the bonus points.
2- Is it means our vehicle cannot provide any propulsion, when it is suspending?
At any time, the vehicle without any propulsion will stay afloat on the water surface and would not sink if dropped or launched into the water.
3- What’s the shape and weight of wrecks should we carry?
The weight in water would not exceed the 500gm. More details will be available for all teams.
4- Should our vehicle carry wercks with a crane basket, or just put wrecks in a crane basket provided by you?
In a crane basket that will be provided by UMVC.
5- What’s the form of “Reporting the location”? Should we provide a specific coordinate, or just place markers?
The locations will be labelled, and you will need to report the location by taking pictures of the labels. More details will be provided later.
6- What’s the working principle of “underwater markers”?
The swimming pool floor will be labeled (divided into zones and each of them will be labeled). Label type will be provided in mission details.
7- What shall we measure? The length of the artifacts? The material? Or others?
You will need to take measurements for selected artefact dimensions, measuring techniques is opened for team’s innovations.
8- Is there any difference between the underwater structure challenge of 2019 and that of 2018?
Same structure with different mission details and labeling.
9- What is the difference of tasks between airplane wreck recovery challenge and maritime archeology expedition challenge?
10- What is meaning of the rule “Each team must provide a base station that can bridge the communication between their vehicle and wired RJ-45/cat5 Ethernet network of the competition”?
The base station is required to be connected to the competition server through RJ-45 Ethernet cable.
11- Is the total score of the TDP 125 points? If not, what’s it?
100 points, in addition to unlimited bonus score.
12- Does the competition server refer to the official server or the team's own or something else? What is the purpose?

No, the black-box is a box with significant features that will be provided in the competition orientation day.
15- Size Limit: Does the maximum size of the ROV and all its equipment refer to the maximum size of the length, width, height, or its diameter or other? Please explain.

17- Can ROV's robotic arm be replaced with other sizes during the competition? For example, the
first robot arm is used on the first day and the second robot arm is used on the second day.
Yes, under condition that all arms (if exist multiple) must pass the technical inspection and safety regulations. Also Arm(s) must be approved by the UMVC judges, and also the ROV with any used arm must obey the size and dimensions constrains.
